Weekend with Max in Wales was a great success. I did not know what to expect with the three boys - inc Sol Ben's best friend, but it was fine. Easier actually than with two. I went back with J & M on Sunday - it was very hard to leave my boy for the first time. Dropped M to his mum, 1st time of meeting her for me but she was friendly so that was nice. Then J & I had a week of experimental living together for a week. Went out for loads of lovely dinners, and he treated me to a night in a gorgeous place in Brighton where we also hit the beach and shopped for shoes. As you do. Apart from PMT hissy fits it was a good week. Very good for Ben and I. He went camping with G'pa St and Sol and they had plenty of fun despite the rain.
I took Ben to Pembroke for a few days with my dad, step-mum, half sister aged 9 and Felix, who is 5. Kind of step nephew. Family too big and complicated. Kids had fun, lots of nice people and fab views.
Back here for joint party with Sol - same day one year older than B. A dozen or so traveler children and SUN. Huge paddling pool, pass the parcel. Ben eventually stopped opening every card hoping it would be from his father. Heart wrenching. I got James and a few god-parents to call instead but drat Sol for asking Ben a million father-related questions. Anyway, anyway. Keep calm and carry on hey. Another week to go.
